You may (or may not) have noticed that 'Three Thousand Versts' has been tweaked in terms of appearance. I've availed of some of the new design tools on Blogger, in an attempt to provide a slightly cleaner, less cluttered finish. My question to readers is, does it work or do you prefer the old look? And are there any reservations or annoyances which you would like ironed out (post content is not on the agenda!)?

I think I preferred the old one - this one looks a bit too heartless and clinical.
Live with it for awhile and see! Ask me again in a week's time. I've been tweaking my blog and "fine-tuning" it since its inception; nothing major, fundamentally the same format and character, hopefully.
One thing I did do - did you notice? - was to add a favicon which should pop up beside the web address.
Tim
I did notice that Tim. A very smart little feature. Must have a gleek at how that works.
Can't seem to repeat the trick Tim. I followed some quite complicated instructions, but no joy.
I wish I could tell you how to do it, but a friend helped me. It took me ages to do, including a favicon generator and substituting your favicon for the Blogger one by entering the blogs HTML section.
I found it very complex and am still amazed that I got it done!
The generator advised me to copy and paste the code into my HTML. Nothing happened. I removed the blogger code (I think). Nothing happened. Most perplexing.
I think you need to persevere and ensure that you have the code precsicely in the correct part of the HTML code.
I think it took me an evening to do, trial and error. Just be careful you don't delete the wrong stuff!
I normally read on Google Reader and would suggest, as you've quite a lot of info on your sidebar , you go for a 3 col. You can do it on http://draft.blogger.com
Your title picture does not fit into the box.
Otherwise, if you like it then that is the most important thing. You are the one who most has to live with it.
Really? What browser are you using. Works ok for me on Chrome and Internet Explorer.
