Not that it makes a huge difference anyway. People in Kent and Surrey don't give a toss about the place, but then neither do people in Cork and Kerry. London would rather not have NI as a millstoen round its neck, but it doesn't really have the choice. Meanwhile Dublin's glad it doesn't have to shoulder that responsibility. So it's basically stalemate for the time-being.CWhttp://dreamingarm.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623721153002721356.post-78701186515028519452010-08-02T20:59:02.601+01:002010-08-02T20:59:02.601+01:00how can any unionist, person or party, participate...how can any unionist, person or party, participate fully in the uk at a political level when unionists have no interest in standing for elections in england, scotland or wales,
i always found it odd that those looking to be british will refuse to take part in british elections.

if MARTIN is to be our first minister, or joint first first minister next year, i think that dodds will be the other joint first minister,
so you think that SINN FEIN members or voters are not right-thinking people,
when the d.u.p and the non tory u.u.p support the new executive next year are you going to call them not right-thinking, when they support SINN FEIN at the helm.

despite some talk, and there will be plenty of talk before the election, no d.u.p member will walk out of stormont because of SINN FEIN holding the title of first first minister, it is only a title after all,

no p.u.p come the new assembly, bless, in there place will be 1 or perhaps 2 t.u.v personnel,
the new no no party will turn into a yes yes one if a scenerio came up in which they could share political power with republicans,
now that the torys have got the boot from the u.u.p it means that all unionist partys are anti british, the new unionist tradition- to lose.michaelhenryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02922594308606665908noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623721153002721356.post-32634239730722803772010-08-02T09:02:04.106+01:002010-08-02T09:02:04.106+01:00I did read your contribution, but this was already...I did read your contribution, but this was already written.Owen Polleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00567787385096905811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2623721153002721356.post-57345721637495032152010-08-02T08:58:59.869+01:002010-08-02T08:58:59.869+01:00You must not have read my contribution.
